D'SPOT HOPE SURPLUS

D’Spot Hope Surplus is a newly established nonprofit organization dedicated to serving the Kendall-Whittier District and the broader Tulsa, Oklahoma community. Our mission is to address the urgent needs that are increasingly impacting families in our area, especially those facing financial hardships. We believe that it is essential to not only provide immediate assistance but also to work towards building sustainable, long-term solutions through comprehensive community-based research initiatives. By focusing on both immediate relief and strategic planning, we aim to empower families and foster resilience within our community.

What we do

At D’Spot Hope Surplus, we are committed to supporting low- to moderate-income families by providing them with essential items that can significantly alleviate their daily struggles. Our services include a variety of support mechanisms designed to meet the diverse needs of the families we serve. Specifically, we offer:

  • Groceries and pantry support: We provide nutritious food options to families facing food insecurity, ensuring they have access to healthy meals.

  • Personal hygiene products: We distribute essential hygiene items, including soap, toothpaste, feminine products, and other necessities that contribute to the health and dignity of individuals and families.

  • Home goods: Our organization supplies essential home items, such as kitchenware and cleaning supplies, to help families maintain a safe and comfortable living environment.

  • Furniture and household essentials: We assist families in acquiring essential furniture and household items that can make a significant difference in their quality of life.

  • And more as needs arise: Our commitment is to remain responsive to the evolving needs of our community, adapting our offerings to address emerging challenges and requirements.

We’re asking for alliances and community partners

To effectively tackle the growing needs within our community, we are actively seeking collaborations with a wide range of stakeholders. We invite individuals, local businesses, churches, schools, community groups, and other organizations to join us in our mission. By forming alliances, we can pool resources, share knowledge, and create a more significant impact on the lives of those we serve. If you are interested in partnering with us—whether through donations, referrals, volunteer support, or collaborative outreach efforts—we would love to connect and explore how we can work together to make a difference in Tulsa.

Donations power our mission (cash or in-kind)

Every donation, no matter the size, plays a critical role in enabling us to serve more families and expand our reach within the community. Your support not only helps us provide essential items but also funds our ongoing community-based research initiatives. This research focuses on developing interactive peripherals and innovative solutions aimed at creating practical, real-world improvements that can benefit underserved communities. By contributing to our cause, you are helping to lay the groundwork for sustainable change.

We are currently accepting the following types of donations:

  • In-kind donations: We welcome goods and supplies that can directly assist families in need, including food items, hygiene products, and household goods.

  • Cash donations: Financial contributions are essential for supporting our operations, distribution efforts, and research initiatives, allowing us to maximize our impact.
